PERFORMANCE QUALITY

PERFORMANCE: 0

High performance but low fidelity rendering of transparent objects (default setting). Implements weighted-blended order-independent transparency. Works well for any of the following scenarios:

  • Small number of transparent objects
  • Very high transparency (low opacity)
  • Little overdraw between transparent objects
QUALITY: 1

High fidelity but less performance rendering of transparent objects. Implements depth peeling along with weighted-blended order-independent transparency. Performance impact is less than 50% is half of the visible objects are transparent. Works well for any of the following scenarios:

  • Large number of transparent objects
  • Medium to low transparency (medium to high opacity)
  • High overdraw between transparent objects
